There's sure to be a few new bugs appearing as more people download and start playing v1.18, but Blizzard seems keen to sort out the problems and improve this classic game. Blizzard have patched the original Starcraft for the first time in almost a decade, and they’ve made it completely free. Remember, when the game originally released Windows 95 was the standard and Windows 98 was just launching. Most important is OpenGL support and improved compatibility with modern operating systems including Windows 8, 8.1, and 10. Blizzard spent time fixing a range of bugs and adding features. StarCraft v1.18 isn't just good news because it's free, though. Alongside many bug-fixes, it also made StarCraft and Brood War expansion completely free. Never played the game Good news: Its now.
